Lauréat de nombreux Emmy Awards, Dan Curry est né à New York et diplômé en Beaux Arts au Middlebury College (dans le Vermont) et plus tard auteur d'une maîtrise en cinéma et théâtre à la Humboldt State University. Il vécut en Thaïlande quelques temps comme architecte et revint aux Etats-Unis en tant qu'illustrateur, enseignant puis dirigeant dès les années 1960 et 1970 les effets visuels et graphiques d'une centaine de films, dont Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ou encore top Gun. Il est aujourd'hui membre de la « Director's Guild of America », de l' « American Society of Cinematographers », de la « Producers Guild of America », de l' « Academy of Television Arts and Sciences » (Oscars) et de la « Visual Effects Society ». Il a participé à de nombreux génériques télévisuels et cinématographiques à succès. La filmographie suivante est non-exhaustive.
